Utilities on Road Construction Project Asked to Be Relocated

Utilities affected by underpass and flyover construction are asked to be relocated thus it will not hamper the ongoing project.

"We want to ensure acceleration towards utility relocation," said Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno after coordination meeting (rakor) with related SKPD and utility owners at City Hall, Monday (10/23).

He explained, his side invites various sides in rakor to accelerate on six infrastructure projects.

"Thanks to God, utility owners have agreed to accelerate relocation," he said.

According to him, Pancoran Flyover is ensured could be done on time or in December 2017. While for another five projects; Cipinang Lontar Flyover, Bintaro Permai Flyover, Mampang Kuningan Underpass, Kartini Underpass, and Matraman Underpass are targeted to be finished in January to February 2018.

"Now it has been mapped and four projects could be accelerated. While Bina Marga Dept. is still trying to accelerate Mampang Kuningan Underpass," he said.

He affirmed, his side will monitor construction development continuously and in the near future, his side will schedule to survey at the locations.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. Head, Yusmada Faisal said, it is hard to relocate the utilities which located on Kartini Flyover and Mampang Kuningan Underpass.

"There is PDAM's big pipe at Kartini Flyover project site and PT. PGN and PDAM utilities across Mampang Kuningan Underpass construction site," he closed.
